Ultrasonic bonding is achieved by transmitting high-frequency vibrations to the fabric. When a synthetic material or nonwovens passes between the corner of the ultrasonic device and the anvil, vibrations are transmitted directly to the fabric, rapidly generating heat in the fabric. The ultrasonic energy generated by the ultrasonic generator is added to the transducer, generating longitudinal mechanical vibrations that are amplified by the luffing rod and the cutter head, obtaining uniform, intense ultrasonic waves on the plane of the cutter head (also known as the weld head).

 

Ultrasonic sewing machines can quickly seal, stitch and trim synthetic fibers without the use of thread, glue or other consumables. Although ultrasonic sewing machines are similar in appearance and operation to conventional sewing machines, they have a larger gap between their runners and welding wheels, making them ideal for manual operation with tight tolerances or near bends. Ultrasonic bonding eliminates needle and thread breakage, line color change, and line dispersion. Ultrasonic sewing machines are produced 4 times faster than conventional sewing machines and are cost-effective.
