When a synthetic material or nonwovens passes between the corner of the ultrasonic device and the anvil, vibrations are transmitted directly to the fabric, rapidly generating heat in the fabric. The ultrasonic energy generated by the ultrasonic generator is added to the transducer, generating longitudinal mechanical vibrations that are amplified by the luffing rod and the cutter head, obtaining uniform, intense ultrasonic waves on the plane of the cutter head (also known as the weld head).
